THE GOAT

Is there a better sight than this on the golf course?!

Tiger Woods swinging a club again!

If he does make another comeback, that will be some ticket to have!

When he does finally leave the game though, is there another player that will have an impact close to Tiger?

Bryson is changing the game in is own way and Rory may be finding some form and showing some passion.

But will anyone have the same impact as Tiger?

You may know some of his obvious career achievements, but here are my favourite lesser know but still as ridiculous stats:
  • Woods won his 100th, 200th, and 300th official career starts on the PGA Tour: the 2000 WGC-NEC Invitational, the 2006 Farmers Insurance Open, and the 2013 Players Championship.
  • Woods holds the record for the most consecutive cuts made on the PGA Tour, with a whopping 142. The streak began in 1998, he broke Byron Nelson’s previous record of 113 in 2003, before the run ended in 2005. For context, you would have to play every PGA Tour event – and make the cut in all of them, of course – for approximately four years to beat it.
  •  From 1997 to 2013 Woods was a combined 126-under-par in major championships. Among the players with 90 or more rounds played in that same timeframe, guess who is next on the list? That’s right, Steve Flesch, who was a whopping 251 strokes behind Woods at 125-over-par. Phil Mickelson is third on +128 and Hunter Mahan fourth on +137.
  • Dustin Johnson is the only player currently under the age of 40 with 20 or more PGA Tour wins. At the pace he has set for his career – 21.7 starts per season, a win percentage of 7.7% – he is on pace to tie Tiger Woods’ win total of 82 in the year 2056. He would be 72 years old then.
  • During the 2000 PGA Tour season, Woods recorded one round higher than 73. It came in the first round of the Masters. He shot 75, on a day when the field averaged 75.59.
